Grapenuts: French wine, Burgundy and Rhone region
March 13, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Must be logged in to RSVP.
Grapenuts is a wine appreciation club where residents come together monthly to taste and share wines. Burgundy wine is made in the Burgundy region of eastern France in the valleys and slopes west of the Saone, a tributary of the Rhone River. Red wine in Burgundy is about the Pinot Noir and white wines made from Chardonnay grapes. French wines have a more earthy flavor while wines from newer growing regions are fruity. When you think Northern Rhone, think Syrah. The sunny Southern Rhone is all about the blend, with Grenache leading the charge. Bring a bottle of French wine from the area and a snack to share as everyone learns more about wine and each other.
Residents are invited to log in and register for events.
