Living with the Desert

Come to this “Living with the Desert” seminar where the Phoenix Herpetological Society will teach residents how to safely live in and with Sonoran Desert wildlife.

In this one-hour seminar, you will learn:

- How to identify desert wildlife, including native venomous reptiles (i.e., rattlesnakes, Gila monsters) and venomous creatures like scorpions and spiders
- Conservation and the importance of coexistence within nature
- Tips for keeping wildlife out of your home
- Securing your yard and fence from unwanted guests and pests
- Helpful hints and suggestions about property maintenance
- Resources for continual safety (i.e. rattlesnake removal)

After the seminar, there will be a 30-minute Q&A session with an expert.

The cost of registration includes resource materials for participants, live animals during lecture, and unlimited participants.

Small bites and beverages will be provided.

Ages 21 and older.

About the Phoenix Herpetological Society

The Phoenix Herpetological Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit reptile rescue & sanctuary. All funds related to participation in this seminar are tax-deductible and go to the direct care & maintenance of over 1700+ animals at the PHS facility.
