New ADOT project will widen Loop 101 from Pima Road/Princess Drive to Shea Boulevard

Residents asked to participate in a brief survey by Friday, Nov. 20.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has partnered with the City of Scottsdale and the Maricopa Association of Governments to widen the Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) between Pima Road/Princess Drive and Shea Boulevard.

The upcoming project will add one general-purpose lane in each direction and modify existing interchanges to improve traffic flow, including access on and off the Loop 101 from Pima Road/Princess Drive.

The Design Concept Report (DCR) for this project is currently being updated to modify the proposed interchange designs to better accommodate increased traffic volumes in this area.

ADOT is accepting comments about the four proposed interchange concepts included in this project – Pima Road/Princess Drive, Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, Raintree Drive and Shea Boulevard.

To view maps of the interchange concepts and provide comments, participate in a brief survey through Nov. 20.
